Every once and awhile I like to post a new font for everyone to share some of the new fonts I have tried and used for others to experiment with. If you have been following DawgEared.com for awhile, you know about my little fetish for fonts. The more fonts you have to choose from, the more power you have. Well, probably not. But there is something nice about being able to get away from using the same old boring fonts everybody else uses and jazz your page up with all the great free fonts out there to download.
Today’s font is called League Gothic. According to the download site, League Gothic is
a revival of an old classic, and one of our favorite typefaces, Alternate Gothic No.1. It was originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton for the American Type Founders Company (ATF) in 1903. The company went bankrupt in 1993. And since the original typeface was created before 1923, the typeface is in the public domain.
